Summary:
• Responsibilities include the development of microbial fermentation processes utilizing standard fermentation methods including batch and fed batch
• Monitoring and analyzing expression of target proteins and a utilization of essential nutrient, i.e. amino acid
• Standard harvest and recovery methodologies including centrifugation and tangential flow filtration
• Technology transfer and assist in maintaining the laboratory.
• Other responsibilities will include generation of development batch records, product reports and other forms of documentation and present results in a project meeting.
Requirements:
• 5-8 years of related experience
• Bachelors, Master, or Doctoral degree in microbiology or an undergraduate degree in biochemical or chemical engineering or equivalent
• Experience in microbial fermentation required
• Ability to operate and sample fermentor and downstream equipment for centrifugation, microfiltration, and utrafiltration is required
