Up for sale is my 1982 Ocean 42SS. Powered by twin Detroit 6-71 diesels, the boat moves. Cruises at 2k rpms at 27 mph. Engines have about 1300 hours since rebuilt a few years back. Genny was replaced at the time of remains..
Interior was completely redone about 3 years ago as you can see in the pictures. It was a two year project but as you can see by the pictures it was well worth it. Completely new galley as well with two fridges and entertainment center. Both sleeping quarters also has flat screens and the vessel will sleep 6 comfortably.
Two years ago, the bottom was blasted, primed, barrier coated, and painted with ablative bottom paint. This boat was not fished, and spent the last ten years as far as I know if fresh water up the Hudson River and now sitting in brackish water.
New Canvas is also only a couple of years old. AC unit blows very cold!!!
As I said early, the boat was mainly used to cruise up and down the Hudson River and around NYC.
The outside of the boat could use some bright work on the teak, tried using the bristol finish. Worked well for a couple of years but now starting to peel in a few spots.
The price is firm at $69,500 which I think is very fair especially in this market. The price is also very firm. I'm not going to play the negating game and go back and forth. Appreciate any offer but the price is firm.
I'm selling her to buy a cruiser or a sport fish express mid 30's so I would be open to a trade. Could be gas or diesel.
She's in the water located in Edgewater, NJ 07020 ready to go. I do have a survey but its about 4/5 years old and its on paper. Will try to convert it over to PDF "will try".
