We are a boutique event design company based in Cinnaminson, NJ. We specialize in creating events from concept to actual production at the venue. Our events include weddings, receptions, showers, and theme parties that require grand details for decoration in the venue space. Some of the venues that we have worked with include but are not limited to: The Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, The Chase Center in Delaware, The HYATT in Greenwich, CT, and The Mansion in Voorhees, NJ.
We are strictly an event design firm, we are not event planners, although many aspects of planning are used in our business. We do work with planners as a hired vendor. If you are looking for experience as a planner, this will give you some exposure of the industry on the vendor side as well.
We need an extremely organized production intern to help source, plan, and produce designs for events on a part time basis, 10 hours/week in the office split between 2 or 3 days, along with 5-8 hours of assistance from home via online research, media page updates, and emails.
The internship responsibilities are listed below.
-Design, implement, and create concept boards for event themes
-Source materials from online vendors or wholesalers for centerpieces
-create centerpiece design samples and mockups for proposed events
-Assist in creating and draping fabrics for backdrops
-Update showroom backdrop and displays
-Maintain fabric swatchbook catalog
-Maintain fabric inventory
-Main Media Pages
Must do atleast 8-10 hours of office assistance/week. This can be split into 2 or 3 days.
Industrial design, Fashion Design, or Fashion apparel management majors are ideal for this position, but not required. Sewing skills are also a plus!
Compensation for this intership is approximately $10/hourly, with a max of $40/day You will be paid as a production staff assistant/contractor on event site per gig, this will range from $100-$175 depending on the size of the event. Commission for events is also an option if you decide to grow with us and manage your own area.
This is an amazing opportunity to get "real" experience in the event industry. Past interns include college majors in Fashion, Graphic, and Industrial Design. We are open to all backgrounds and college majors, with a high motivation level and interest in the event industry.
