This DX-2D is a 2 channel dbx encoder decoder in a one RU box (no ears available). It was tested with a Teac model 122 cassette machine and is working. There are several Teac Tascam series recorders that are designed to use dbx noise reduction and have built in control signal cable needed to toggle between record and play modes with (or without) dbx NR.
