I'm not sure what year it is, but judging from the gain/feel of Channels 2 & 4 it seems to be a newer model. Ch2 gain crosses into Ch3 territory, and Ch4 is tight enough for rhythm playing. Ch3 is Ch3, legendary for a reason. Ch1 is an excellent clean. Possibly the best 4 channel amp ever made.
