I am writing to you with humility and hope, and with deep respect for the compassionate people who help and rescue animals.
My mother passed away in June of 2025 at the age of 84. She was an animal lover and a woman who found it very difficult to say no when she believed someone—or some animal—needed help. She was approached by a volunteer connected to a local animal rescue who had three kittens in need of a temporary foster home. My mother agreed, believing it would be short-term and that support would follow.
Unfortunately, despite her efforts to reach out for help, that support never materialized. Two years passed, the kittens grew into adult cats, and they were never properly socialized. Due to circumstances beyond her control, the cats have been confined to a bedroom in her home. Since my mother’s passing, I have been providing ongoing care for them while actively trying to find a safe, appropriate, and loving placement.
I want to be honest: this situation is heartbreaking for me. I inherited it through no fault of my mother’s or my own, and despite my best efforts, I am completely without viable options. I am deeply concerned for the cats’ long-term well-being and want so badly for them to have the chance to thrive in an environment better suited to their needs.
With great respect, I am reaching out for assistance in helping guide me toward a suitable placement for these three cats. My only goal is for them to be safe, cared for, and given a chance at a better life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for all that you do for animals who cannot advocate for themselves. I would be profoundly grateful for any help or guidance you are able to provide.
